Fort Meade 50, Berkeley Prep 22

TAMPA - Kelsheem White had 18 carries for 104 yards and two touchdowns and Lakevin Camp had four carries for 41 yards and two touchdowns as No. 1 Fort Meade rolled past Berkeley Prep.

The win improved the Miners to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in Class 1A-District 6 play, while Berkeley Prep fell to 4-2 and 2-1.

Down 15-0, Destin Nichols rallied Berkeley Prep to a first-half 22-22 tie by going 9-for-9 for 167 yards and three touchdowns in the second quarter. One of the TDs went to Nelson Agholor for a 49-yard score, the longest catch of the game. Junior receiver Pierce Hunt added two catches for 60 yards and a touchdown for the Bucs.

The second half of the game was a different story as the swarming defensive line of the Miners overwhelmed the Berkeley Prep offensive line. Fort Meade had seven sacks - all in the second half. Brandon Fulse had three sacks for the Miners and added a 15-yard touchdown. Jaime Willis had two sacks for the Miners.

Nichols finished the game 14 of 26 for 221 yards and the three TDs.

Agholor had the only interception of the game.
