Gulf 48, Anclote 6

NEW PORT RICHEY - Madison Burr rushed for 161 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns, leading Gulf in a rout of Anclote.
Gulf (4-4) took command early by running the football. The Buccaneers scored on all three of their first-quarter possessions without attempting a pass, as Burr ran for 141 yards in the quarter.
By halftime Gulf, had amassed 308 yards rushing to take a 42-0 lead, and Burr scored on 19- and 62-yard runs.
Will Burbridge added 110 yards on nine carries for the Buccaneers, and he and Alphonso Blanch each added a pair of touchdowns. Blanch finished with 87 yards on eight carries, scoring on runs of 52 and 10 yards.
The Sharks scored on the opening possession of the third quarter on a 4-yard touchdown run by Travis Hendrix. The score was set up by a 66-yard run by Kris Aratchiyski on the previous play.
Aratchiyski finished with 134 yards on 22 carries to lead Anclote (0-7).
