Parents of boy set on fire by teens issue letter of thanks

MIAMI - The parents of teenager recovering at a Miami hospital after being set on fire issued a letter of thanks.
Five teens are accused of setting 15-year-old Michael Brewer on fire. Authorities say they were retaliating in a quickly escalating dispute over a video game.
"As far as the boys and their family goes, I do not want to put any energy or thought into that now. We need to stay positive and focus on Michael's recovery," the letter from Valerie and Michael
Brewer Sr. said.
The letter, posted on The Miami Herald Web site on Sunday, gave thanks for the prayers and donations.
"The incredible outpouring of love and support you have shown our family has once again helped to restore our faith in humanity," it said.
