Transit planning is easy

I don't see what is so hard about light-rail transit planning in Tampa. In the mornings traffic is grid-locked from downtown out to the fairgrounds on Interstate 4 and on Interstate 275 up to around the dog track.

A long time ago we could have started and put the first commuter stations in those places. As cars come in from the suburbs, people park there and ride the rails right down the middle of the interstates to their jobs downtown. From the downtown station a jitney takes you to your office.

Expand these two legs east and north as growth continues, and add more stations.

No, we have to bog things down by trying to serve four counties at once and be sidetracked with getting our leg of a bullet train (bad idea) to Miami.
