LAND O' LAKES - It was senior night at Gators Stadium on Friday but it was a junior who stole the show.

Land O' Lakes junior quarterback Stephen Weatherford completed 18 of 27 passes for 325 yards and four TDs and rushed for two other scores as the Gators remained in the hunt for a playoff spot with the win against Sunlake.

Weatherford connected on three TD passes to Alex Robinson (29, 18 and 21 yards), who finished with 175 yards receiving on 10 catches.

The Gators looked like they had gained momentum at the end of the first half, taking a 14-0 lead, when Weatherford connected with Will Irwin for a 74-yard TD with four seconds left after Sunlake gave the ball over on downs on the Land O' Lakes' 26.

Sunlake's Jacob Jackson threw a 55-yard TD pass to Jamal Jones to cut the lead to 14-7. Weatherford scored on a 22-yard run on the Gators' next possession to regain their two-touchdown lead.

Sunlake cut the score to 21-14 when Jackson scored on a 4-yard run, but Weatherford then hit Robinson with three consecutive TD passes.
