DOVER - Lennard running back Tevin Abney ran for 146 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Longhorns to victory over Strawberry Crest.

The Longhorns opened the game with a three-play, 65-yard touchdown drive. DeMyco Winston set up the score on a 30-yard run on the first play from scrimmage. Following a procedure penalty, Abney followed that with a 38-yard run and then two more yards for a touchdown.

Strawberry Crest pulled within a point on the following drive, going 85 yards on 12 plays as Charger quarterback Brandon Reaves scored on a 16-yard run.

A failed conversion left the Longhorns ahead 7-6, and the game remained close until late in the third quarter when Lennard scored 20 straight points to end the game.

Quarterback Fred Porter ran in a 7-yard touchdown and later threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Winston.

Porter ran for 51 yards on 10 carries, and went 4-for-17 for 87 yards through the air.

Chargers running back Thomas Herrera ran the ball 15 times for 111 yards and Luis Trevino had 20 carries for 83 yards.
