CBS Sports' Lesley Visser, voted the No. 1 female sportscaster of all time by the American Sportscasters Association, is about to break new ground as the first woman analyst for a television broadcast of an NFL game.
Tonight, Visser will serve as a color commentator for the fourth quarter of the Dolphins-Saints preseason game seen on WFOR, the CBS affiliate in Miami. She works the Dolphins preseason games with Bob Griese, Nat Moore and CBS Sports play-by-play announcer Craig Bolerjack.
DOLPHINS: Running back Ricky Williams signed a one-year contract extension that will keep him with Miami through 2010.
FRANCHISE WORTH: The Cowboys are worth $1.65 billion, the most of any U.S.-based sports franchise, according to Forbes magazine's annual rankings. The Bucs rank eighth at $1.085 billion, up 3 percent, while the league average remained at $1.042 billion.
VIKINGS: Coach Brad Childress said all his starters, including quarterback Brett Favre, will sit out the preseason finale Friday against Dallas to avoid injuries.
