LAND O' LAKES - Misael Jaramillo, a Wesley Chapel man accused of accepting money for kitchen repair work that he never performed, was arrested Tuesday and charged with grand theft, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report said.
Tuesday's charge was added at the Land O' Lakes Jail, where Jaramillo, 62, was being held on three other charges of grand theft, records said. He also was charged with a similar theft-by-fraud case in Hillsborough County, the report said. Bail was set at $39,000.
According to the report, Jaramillo operates a kitchen remodeling business, Your New Kitchen By Vision, in Wesley Chapel. He lives at 27351 Coral Springs Drive, Wesley Chapel.
Jaramillo, who also goes by Michael Jaramillo, was arrested Tuesday after a customer in Land O' Lakes complained that he took $1,750 for offering to work on the victim's kitchen. Two months passed without any work being done, and Jaramillo eventually avoided the victim, the report said.
