NEW PORT RICHEY - A 42-year-old man is accused of firing three bullets at a woman who was arguing with his sister.
Andrew Cary Collins, of 3125 Bigelow Drive, Holiday, was upset by a fight his sister, Dana Edwards, was having with her roommate, Jacqueline Birch, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report said.
According to the report, Collins grabbed a black handgun from his 1998 Dodge pickup after the women's argument became physical.
The incident happened about 11 a.m. Wednesday at 4711 Alcea St., New Port Richey, records said.
Collins is accused of firing three shots toward Birch as she stood on her front porch.
Investigators said one bullet hit a wall, another grazed a plant on the porch, and "the path of the third bullet is unknown," the report said.
Collins was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He was released from the Land O' Lakes Jail on Wednesday night after posting $5,000 bail.
