2008 RECAP: 8-3 overall (5-3 MEAC)

NEED TO KNOW: The Wildcats return leading rusher Brian Sumlar (759 yards, 10 touchdowns) and sophomore quarterback Maurice Francois, who averaged more than 90 yards rushing in four games before his season ended with a broken collarbone. ... The Wildcats will need to replace three starting offensive linemen from 2008. ... Defensively, Bethune-Cookman returns nine starters, led by senior lineman Dexter Jackson, a candidate for MEAC defensive player of the year. Defensive backs Antonio and Antuwan Cox were named to the preseason all-conference second team.
