C'WOOD DAY...37 CAMBRIDGE...0
TAMPA - Even though the game was called 18 seconds into the third quarter, the Carrollwood Day Patriots were able to show why they're likely going to be a force this season.
Unfortunately for the Cambridge Lancers, the game was called before they could establish an identity offensively or defensively.
QB Billy Embody connected with WR Michael Kanter for a 47-yard touchdown to open the scoring.
The Patriots' second drive ended with a 40-yard pass from Embody to WR Matt Monteilh.
After a field goal made it 17-0, Embody and WR Deuce Gruden hooked up on a 22-yard scoring strike to extend the lead to 24-0.
Patriots RB Darius Bing had a productive game, with two touchdowns and 194 total yards.
Carrollwood Day coach Lane McLaughlin told the team there would be, "no wind sprints on Monday if you return a kick to the house."
Fortunately for the Patriots, the last play of the game was an 85-yard kick return for a touchdown by Bing.
