Big crowd expected for Plant City hospital foundation fundraiser

PLANT CITY - More than 500 guests are expected at the South Florida Baptist Hospital Foundation's Sept. 24 Diamonds & Denim Gala, its biggest fundraiser of the year.

The $50 per person event will be held in from 7 to 10 p.m. in the expo building on the Florida Strawberry Festival grounds in Plant City.

Since its inception in 1997, Diamonds & Denim has raised more than $700,000 for South Florida Baptist Hospital, including such departments as the pediatric and obstetrics units.

The evening features a Western theme and dressy denim attire. Highlights include valet parking, six food and beverage stations - including prime rib and a seafood bar - a silent auction, drawings, live music by K.A.G.E.D. and more.
