TAMPA - A car seat, beautician hair-washing sinks and hospital scrubs.
The only thing the items have in common, police say, is that they all were used to mask the identities of three men who have held up pawnshops.
Police continued searching for the robbers Wednesday, who struck again Tuesday afternoon at Cash America, 5913 N. Armenia Ave.
The men, armed with semiautomatic handguns and wearing hospital scrubs and surgical masks, forced customers to the floor and ordered employees to open jewelry cabinets and cash boxes.
The robbers then forced employees into a section of the shop containing high-dollar items, police said.
Police think that on Aug. 31, the same men robbed EZ Pawn, 4910 E. Busch Blvd., while wearing beautician sinks over their heads. On Aug. 25, police say, one of the men used a car seat to hide his face during a robbery at Value Pawn, 5401 40th St. N.
The men have also stolen electronics.
