The death of a fourth person has been linked to swine flu in Pinellas County, the county health department said.
The department was notified Monday that a 51-year-old man with other health problems died from the flu.
The first person in Pinellas whose death was linked to swine flu was a 36-year-old man. The Pinellas County Health Department was notified of his death Aug. 10. The second was a 50-year-old woman. The department was notified of that death Aug. 26. Both had other health problems.
The health department was told Sept. 8 about the third death, a 20-year-old man who also had other health problems.
There have been six swine flu-related deaths reported in Hillsborough County.
Statewide, 79 people have died from swine flu, the Florida Department of Health said.
