TAMPA - HART has cut about $300,000 from its proposed 2010 budget, not quite half from streetcar expenses.
The board this week endorsed the amended budget of $143.2 million, about 16 percent higher than this year's budget.
The budget would provide $56.6 million for bus operations, $3.8 million for patrons with disabilities, and $2.1 million for the streetcar, about $123,520 less than originally budgeted.
The board will vote on the proposed budget Sept. 28 after a public hearing scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the County Center at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd.
The proposed 2010 budget would be about $20 million more than the current budget.
Capital outlays would account for $80.7 million and about $62.5 million would go toward operations.
