TAMPA - The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority has installed a record 104 shelters at bus stops this year throughout the county and has plans to add another 50 in the coming months.
The shelters will be built at bus stops on Kennedy, Causeway and Busch boulevards, Fowler, Nebraska and Hillsborough avenues, 40th Street and U.S. 301.
The latest shelters were installed in well-traveled transit corridors, including Nebraska and Hillsborough avenues, and Dale Mabry Highway, HART said.
Other shelters have been installed in unincorporated areas of the county, including Brandon Boulevard and Boyette Road.
