TAMPA - The County Center is open for business again this morning.
The reopening occurred after a power outage Thursday afternoon forced county officials to shut down the building and send home about 1,500 employees while they investigated.
Hillsborough County spokesman Willie Puz said the outage was apparently caused by a malfunctioning high voltage main breaker, which was being bypassed early this morning.
He said the county will still need to find a vendor to replace the faulty equipment.
