Polk man had child porn on iPod, authorities say

WINTER HAVEN - Polk County Sheriff's deputies have accused a Winter Haven man of having images of child pornography on his iPod.

Brian Jennings, 28, of 4170 Lake Ned Village Circle, came to the attention of the sheriff's computer crimes unit after his girlfriend's son took Jennings' iPod Nano to school for show-and-tell Friday.

The boy took the device without permission and discovered the images while listening to music, investigators said. A student at Winter Haven Elementary School reported the images to a teacher. School officials confiscated the iPod and called deputies.

Investigators said they found 974 images on the iPod, dozens of them adult pornography but at least 20 qualified as child porn. Detectives seized Jennings' computer.

Jennings faces 10 counts of sexual performance by a child.

The case remains under investigation.
