Tampa Catholic takes 25-20 win over Lake Highland Prep

ORLANDO - Tampa Catholic running back Henry McCloud rushed for 119 yards, including touchdowns of 66 and 10 yards, and quarterback Christian Green added TD runs of 5 and 62 yards as the Crusaders held off Orlando Lake Highland Prep 25-20 on Friday night.

The win improved second-ranked Tampa Catholic to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in Class 2B-District 5 play, while Lake Highland dropped to 3-1 and 0-1.

The hosts got touchdowns from David Jean on a 41-yard blocked punt return and Mike Dorcely's 22-yard reception in the fourth quarter.

ACADEMY AT THE LAKES 42, GENEVA CLASSICAL 6: Academy at the Lakes attempted only six passes Friday night, but it proved to be more than enough to defend their home field against Geneva Classical Academy. The Wildcats walked away with a 42-6 victory, led by Trace Waters' 130 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.

The Wildcat defense was dominant throughout. The effort was highlighted by Shane Arbet's 27-yard interception return for a TD.
