"The Hammer" lives to dance another week.
Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, who almost dropped partner Cheryl Burke at the end of their tango Monday night, escaped elimination from "Dancing With the Stars."
On Tuesday, model and businesswoman Kathy Ireland and her partner Tony Dovolani received the fewest number of votes and were booted off the show.
The pair danced a quick step that earned only 19 points out of 30 from judges. Ireland was criticized as being too reserved.
After the show, the former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model told People magazine she was happy for the experience.
"To be able to work with Tony the past six weeks has changed my life forever," she said. "I can do so many things I never thought I could do. I feel like the biggest winner because I got him as my teacher."
