TALLAHASSEE - Florida State's Jimbo Fisher says he's eager to get a look at his team.
The first-year Seminoles head coach praised the efforts of the players during their offseason conditioning program and looks forward to Tuesday's first of 15 spring practices in advance of an April 10 spring game.
Fisher also said Monday he expects starting quarterback Christian Ponder to be near full strength for the practices and available to play in the spring game.
Fisher plans to scrap the situation-style scrimmage employed by former coach Bobby Bowden in the spring game with an actual game in hopes to attracting a larger crowd.
The Seminoles finished 7-6 last year after defeating West Virginia 33-21 at the Gator Bowl in Bowden's final game.
