We've started a list that includes some of the neatest playgrounds in the area, free plane rides for kids, nature walks and fossil digs, things you can build, art you can create, sports you can do and so much more. Do your kids love to fly? EAA Chapter 47 will offer free plane rides for kids 8 to 17 as part of its Young Eagles program at Albert Whitted Airport on Saturday, September 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can pre-register or sign up that day.
Pilots have donated their time to fly the kids on half-hour trips that will take the kids down by the Sunshine Skyway, giving them gorgeous views of St. Petersburg and the beaches.

There's a new place to play! The Boing! Jump Center opened March 26 at 622 Ware Blvd in Tampa, next to Brandon Crossroads Bowl. The trampoline park has 11,000 square feet of trampolines on the floors and walls. It's for kids of all ages, but anyone under 18 must wear a safety helmet and have a parent or guardian sign a waiver.
Jumpers can free jump, play 3D dodge ball, or burn calories during BOINGRobics. It costs $12 for the first hour, then $9 for each additional hour. Boing! also offers parties, so I'm betting all the people who are tired of bounce houses may start booking here instead.
