Nearly all of the rooms include a private bath, secure storage for personal items, a mini-fridge and an entertainment system that also can provide school lessons for children on extended stays. Parents who used to sleep in a recliner now can use a sleeper sofa.

Every patient, doctor, nurse and staff member will literally pick up and move to what's become one of the state's largest pediatric care facilities when the new All Children's Hospital opens Dec. 12.
