Remain calm, don’t cross the streams, and if anyone asks you if you’re a god, you SAY YES.
In preparation for the 30th anniversary re-release of “Ghostbusters” back into movie theaters, Sony has released a new trailer. The film will be back on big screens around the U.S. for one week only beginning Aug. 29 (Labor Day weekend).
The studio is embarking upon a widespread anniversary campaign, including the release of “Ghostbusters” and “Ghostbusters 2” on Blu-Ray on Sept. 16.
Sony also released some really cool production stills from the original filming on Ghostbusters.com. The one above shows a model used to bring the Stay Puft Marshamallow Man (WANT!) to life as he strolls near a tiny model of Central Park.
Unfortunately the Gallery 1988 traveling art show of “Ghostbusters”-themed art won’t be making a stop in Florida, but with rumors of a third “Ghostbusters” movie swirling all the time lately, let’s hope the studio makes some kind of announcement about that as part of the 30th anniversary celebration.
