Spears Must Surrender Children To Federline

Britney Spears was ordered Monday to surrender custody of her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Judge Scott M. Gordon ruled in Los Angeles Superior Court that Federline will take custody of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, beginning Wednesday 'until further order of the court.'

Last month, Gordon said Spears engaged in 'habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol' and ordered her to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week as part of her ongoing custody dispute with Federline.

Spears also was ordered to meet weekly with a parenting coach who was to observe and report back to the court about her parenting skills. Spears and Federline must complete the court's 'Parenting Without Conflict' class.

Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, have joint custody of their sons, but Federline is seeking a greater share of custody.

Tampa's Bachelorette Goes Home Without Bachelor

The quest for a rose and the affections of a Texas millionaire ended for a Tampa woman on 'The Bachelor' Monday night.

Erin Gardner, 25, a publishing sales manager, was one of three single women who were sent packing on the ABC reality show.

Gardner had made it past the first cut on the debut episode last week. But bachelor Brad Womack, a bar owner from Austin, Texas, didn't give her a rose on the second episode. He narrowed the field from 15 to 12.

'Just when my faith in relationships was being restored, I find myself in the parking lot,' Gardner said.

She added that she believed she would find the right someone someday. Gardner has not been available for comment as long as she was a contestant on the show.

Womack, 34, seemed to connect most with DeAnna, a real estate agent from Neunan, Ga., and Jenni, a Phoenix Suns dancer.

French Award Has Police Walking On The Moon

The Police, fresh off a reunion concert in Paris, received a French award for their contribution to the arts Monday.

French Culture Minister Christine Albanel honored the rock trio of Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers as chevaliers of the Order of Arts and Letters at a Paris ceremony.

'We are very happy to be among your knights,' said Sting, speaking in French.

Across town, David Lynch received an upgrade to 'officer' in France's Legion of Honor. The filmmaker's entry into the prestigious legion came in 2002 when he became a 'knight' - the first rank of five.

Knowles Doesn't Need Malaysia's Rules

Beyonce Knowles has scrapped plans to stage her first concert in Malaysia and will instead perform in neighboring Indonesia, which has less stringent rules about how performers should dress and behave.

The announcement followed recent speculation that Knowles - who is famous for her sexy image and skimpy outfits - was reluctant to fulfill the Malaysian government's demand for female performers to cover up from the top of their chests to their knees, including their shoulders.

International Creative Management, her talent agency, said Knowles' Nov. 1 date in Kuala Lumpur was canceled 'due to a scheduling conflict.' Knowles, 26, will perform in Jakarta on Nov. 1.
