There's a little something for everyone at the St. Pete Times Forum in March. Well, if you consider Billy Joel, Elton John and Britney Spears something.
Forum officials announced today that Joel and John's "Face 2 Face" tour is coming to Tampa on March 5.
On March 8, Spears brings her "Circus" tour to town. It is the first arena tour in five years for the pop princess.
Tickets for both shows go on sale Saturday.
At the "Face 2 Face" show, fans can expect Joel and John to open the show together, then perform their own sets before appearing together again for the finale. The tour kicks off March 2 in Jacksonville.
The two music superstars last appeared in concert together in Tampa in 2002.
Spears' 27-city itinerary is billed as "The Circus Starring Britney Spears 2009 Tour." The Pussycat Dolls are scheduled to open.
The tour is the next phase of Spears' career rehabilitation necessitated by a cascade of meltdowns, car wrecks, missed court dates and child custody mishaps.
Spears just released her "Circus" album, which already has generated the hit "Womanizer."
This morning she appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America," wowing the crowd while performing under the big top with the Big Apple Circus in New York.
The "GMA" performance was the latest cautious step back into the limelight for the singer.
On Saturday, she performed live on "The X Factor" TV show in London. "X Factor," produced by Simon Cowell, is similar to "American Idol."
The night before her Tampa appearance, Spears will perform at American Airlines Arena in Miami.
The tour will end April 28 in Chicago.
Ticket prices for Billy Joel and Elton John will be $54.25, $99.75 and $179.75, including service fees.
Spears tickets are $36.75, $52.25, $95 and $125, including fees, according to Ticketmaster.
