Even before the current season of "Dancing With the Stars" debuted, singer and former teen heartthrob Aaron Carter was picked as a favorite to win.
But the Tampa native is being surpassed by sultry R&B singer Mýa, who received a couple of perfect 10 scores last week with partner Dmitry Chaplin.
Mýa, who turned 30 on Saturday, has become the dancer to watch. Born Mýa Marie Harrison, she has been on the music scene since the late 1990s.
She's had a couple of successful albums and a hit single ("It's All About Me"). She's dabbled in acting, too, winning a Screen Actor's Guild Award for a supporting role in the 2002 film version of "Chicago."
Meanwhile, Carter, 21, is still nursing a knee injury that he sustained when he fell during rehearsals last week. He's also facing rumors that a romance is blooming between him and his 31-year-old partner, Karina Smirnoff.
GAY NEWLYWED: The updated version of "The Newlywed Game," hosted by Carnie Wilson, returns for a second season at 5 p.m. today on GSN (Game Show Network).
Tuesday's episode will feature George Takei ("Star Trek's" Mr. Sulu) and his spouse, Brad Altman, as the first same-sex couple on the series. (It repeats at 9 p.m. Tuesday.)
DEBUTING TONIGHT: "Little People, Big World" returns to TLC at 8 p.m. for a fifth season of life with dwarf couple Matt and Amy Roloff and their four children.
Rumors are circulating that the Roloffs will face marital problems this season.
"Million Dollar Listing" returns for a third season at 10 tonight on Bravo. Faced with a tight economy and cutthroat competitors, three real estate agents (Josh, Madison and Chad) struggle to make million-dollar deals.
