Disney-Bright House deal means no ESPN disruptions

Bright House Networks customers can breathe a sigh of relief.

The college football games on ESPN won't be interrupted after Disney, which owns ESPN, and Bright House reached a contract agreement Thursday.

The contract allows Bright House to broadcast ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNNEWS, ESPNU, ESPN Classic and ESPN Deportes. The contract also allows for the cable company to provide its customers ABC Family, Disney Channel, Disney XD and SOAPnet.

The squabble between Disney and the cable company was because ESPN wanted more money from cable providers for the rights to carry the signal.

Time Warner Cable negotiated for Bright House Networks.
