Brenda Hofreiter – “Plein aire” Artist
Brenda Hofreiter has a diverse artistic background, but her passion is “plein aire” landscape painting in oils. “Plein aire” is French and translates roughly into “open air” that describes painting done on location as opposed to inside a studio. Brenda Hofreiter is a 4th generation Floridian. Her paintings have won awards in local, regional and national juried shows, and are included in private and corporate collections. The artist states, “Painting on location has allowed me an intimate connection to this time and to these vanishing places of Florida. It is my desire that my paintings share the beauty, peace and serenity I have found out in the natural world.”
Visitors can experience this exhibit during normal Centers hours through June 20, 2008.
