The skinny: If you buy this product only for the way it makes your hair smell, it will be worth every penny.
Who knew that the combination of roses (a scent that always comes across as dated to me) and apricots could be so fabulous? But it is, trust me.
And there’s much more to love than the scent.
This hair milk (which is actually a cream, more on that later) is a terrific styling tool during these humid summer days.
I’ll admit I wasn’t so sure at first: The first time I used it, I felt it left my hair a little frizzier than the balm I usually use. But as the day went on, I realized there was also a lot more lift and bounce — a wonderful thing for my heat-damaged hair. And by the second use, things were even better. My frazzled hair looks healthier with each application.
That’s the apricot oil at work, I guess, which is supposed to “treat dryness and infuse moisture into hair,” and the rosehip seed oil, also added to help with hydration.
So maybe that’s why they call this a “milk,” because dry hair just drinks it up. But it is not a liquid; it comes in a tube and squeezes out as a fairly thick cream. I was a bit daunted by that — this is a leave-in product, after all, used on dry or towel-dried hair — and it looks as if it would just sit on your head, white and heavy.
It doesn’t at all, so fear not. You’ll leave the house happy — and come home the same way.
