ART LESSONS: Private instruction is available for all skill levels from Barbara Anders Hodge, a public school-certified art teacher. Cost is $20 per half-hour. Call (727) 734-1070.

ART WORKSHOPS: Ongoing instruction for beginning and intermediate art students is available from Betty Fairbanks at her studio in Thonotosassa on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Each 90-minute class is $20 if paid weekly or $15 if paid monthly. Call (813) 986-3632. Classes are for adults and children.

OILS AND ACRYLICS: Kathi Hobbs hosts classes on painting in oils and acrylics at her studio in northwest Hillsborough County. Day, afternoon and evening sessions are offered. Cost is $80 per month for four classes. Call (813) 269-2289.
