A South Tampa salon is offering the unemployed a no-cost image update.
Muse Salon, at 209 Armenia Ave., is giving free haircuts to unemployed customers through Sept. 12.
The haircuts are a way to help people looking for work impress potential employers during an interview, said Staci Backauskas, a spokesperson for the salon.
"You want to look your best during an interview, and your hair is one of the most important aspects of your appearance," she said.
People don't need to bring any paperwork to prove they are unemployed. The salon is operating on the honor system, Backauskas said.
The haircuts are available on a first-come, first-served basis by appointment only.
