Top paralympians will share their athletic expertise at the annual "No Limits" sports clinic for physically challenged children Feb.13.
The annual event brings the children together with parathletes, local instructors and hospital staff for the daylong clinic. It is sponsored by the Shriners Hospital for Children and the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department's paralympic sport program.
Sports to be played include wheelchair basketball, tennis, boccia, power wheelchair soccer, table tennis, field events, hand cycling, adaptive karate and dance. Hands-on instruction will be available at the clinic, which was first held in Tampa in 1998.
Children ages 6 and up who use an orthosis, prosthesis or wheelchair are invited to attend the event at the All People's Life Center complex at 6105 E. Sligh Ave., Tampa.
Parents also are invited to participate in a panel discussion and explore a resource library.
