To University of South Florida food historian Andy Huse, the Cuban sandwich is a work of art. Representative of Tampa's immigrant population in the late 1800s, the salami, pork, ham, swiss, pickles and mustart are an edible history lesson.
Huse, who recently gave a talk titled, 'The Art of the Cuban,' discusses why the sandwich continues to flourish in Tampa like nowhere else.
