There are a few rules a recessionista must follow:
1. You must be super-stylish, even on laundry day.
2. You must be able to recycle last season's trends to fit into this season's trends and make it work.
3. You must never question the fashion gods: Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior or Givenchy.
When the fashion gods tell you the gladiator sandal is still around, but only hotter and higher, you listen.
