Deputies: Pulled-over woman had box labeled for "pot'

When the Pasco deputy pulled over the 21-year-old woman on suspicion of drunken driving this weekend, the car search might have been as easy as paint-by-numbers.

The deputy came across a green plastic box with the words "Rebekah's pot" written on it. Lo and behold, according to the report, when the deputy opened the box, it contained a green leafy substance confirmed to be marijuana.

Rebekah Michal Tracht-Kader was behind the wheel of the 1999 Honda CRV on Saturday. Moments before, another deputy pulled her over after she ran a stop sign and drove south in the northbound lanes of U.S. 19 near Flora Avenue in Holiday, a report states.

When deputies approached her vehicle shortly before 2 a.m. they could smell alcohol on her breath and the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, a report states.

Tracht-Kader's eyes were bloodshot and glassy and her speech was slurred, according to her arrest affidavit. She performed poorly on sobriety tests and blew a .189 and .184 on a blood-alcohol content test. Florida law presumes impairment at .08.

Tracht-Kader, of 7735 Starfire Way, New Port Richey, was arrested on charges of DUI and marijuana possession.

She was released from the Land O' Lakes Jail later Saturday morning after posting $150 bail.
