A 47-year-old woman from Riverview was killed late Saturday in a head-on collision on Big Bend Road.
The collision that happed about 11:40 p.m. also left a man from Lithia hospitalized, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
A third driver was not injured when the two vehicles involved in the collision struck his car.
Karen Weaver was driving a 2001 Jeep Renegade west on Big Bend Road and Paul Parks, 35, was heading east, in the westbound lane, in a 1998 GMC pick up truck when their vehicles hit head-on near Heritage Green Parkway, the sheriff's office said.
The two cars then slid into a 2006 Chevrolet driven by Michael Toolan, 47, of Riverview. Toolan was not injured.
Weaver died at the scene and Parks was taken to Tampa General Hospital and listed in stable condition, the sheriff's office said.
No charges have been filed, but the department's traffic homicide detectives are continuing the investigation.
