Search Is On For Missing Lithia Woman

LITHIA - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for assistance in finding a 50-year-old woman missing since 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Margherita Tanner, of 9721 S.R. 39 S., Lithia, was last seen after she walked away from her home Sunday afternoon. She left without her medication and eyeglasses, the sheriff's office said.

Tanner is a white female who is 5-foot-1, weighs 125 pounds and has brown shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing bluejeans and a red floral print shirt, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office patrol deputies, K-9 units and helicopters are searching for Tanner. The sheriff's office has established a command post at the mobile home park where Tanner lives.
