St. Petersburg --

The streets were filled this morning with thousands of people united to fight a deadly disease.

More than 11,000 runners participated in the 10th annual Susan Komen Race for a Cure. The 10-kilometer, 5-kilometer, 1-mile and kid's race was held at Vinoy Park and helped raise more than $1 million.

The race was held to bring awareness to breast cancer.
