Spring is in the air at Sarasota Jungle Gardens, where the staff just welcomed a set of twins - ring-tailed lemurs.
The twins arrived a couple of weeks ago.
Lemurs mainly reside on the island of Madagascar. These two remain snuggly attached to their mother, Paula.
While Paula remains protective of her newborns, the staff said she has allowed a few folks to check on the babies, which appear to be thriving.
The twins join father, Ringo, and big brother, Jude.
The staff won't know the sex of each twin until they start to move away from Paula at about 5 months old.
Visitors can take part in a Name the Lemurs contest beginning at 9 a.m. Friday during the gardens' Easter Eggstravaganza. The winner will be announced on Mother's Day.
Sarasota Jungle Gardens is at 3701 Bay Shore Road.
