The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Thursday on Bee Ridge Road at Asbury Place in Sarasota.
According to the patrol, Christina Russell, 32, of Sarasota, was crossing Bee Ridge Road around 2 a.m. when a westbound vehicle in the center lane struck her and then continued driving west.
The patrol is still looking for the driver of the vehicle, described as a light-colored Dodge pickup truck made between 1994 and 2002.
