A man is accused of revving a chainsaw at his wife and threatening to kill her with it, an affidavit states.
Ubaldo Gonzalez, 41, was held without bail at the Orient Road Jail today. He is charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor domestic battery, records show.
Tampa police arrested Gonzalez about 2 a.m. today after a fight with his wife, records show.
According to an affidavit, Gonzalez started a chainsaw during an argument and threatened to kill his wife, putting her in fear for her life.
When she ran into her children's bedroom and locked the door, he kicked the door open and "physically assaulted her," the affidavit states. The woman told police he also pulled her hair.
