A Largo man has been sentenced to 15 years and six months in federal prison for receipt of child pornography, officials said today.
Scott Martin Wiegand, 43, pleaded guilty to the federal charge in October, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
An undercover law enforcement officer in January 2007 discovered Wiegand was offering child pornography on a peer-to-peer computer network for others to download, prosecutors said.
Under a search warrant, investigators found more than 78 images and 64 videos depicting children under the age of 12 engaged in sex acts, prosecutors said.
