Police continue to investigate the death of a woman who was found dead Tuesday morning in her apartment located at a condominium complex, the Largo Police Department said.
Karen Ann Galinski, 49, was found dead in her apartment at around 1 a.m., police said. Her death doesn't appear to be foul play, but the case remains under investigation.
Police also found David Odell Saunders, 55, who also lives in the apartment, 911 Washington Ave. No. 201. He was semiconscious and was transported to the Largo Medical Center. The hospital admitted him, but he is expected to recover, police said.
Galinski, who owned the apartment, and Saunders lived together. Their relationship isn't known, police said.
On Monday, police were called to the apartment to check on the welfare of the residents. A neighbor had called police because newspapers had been stacking up at the front door.
When officers arrived, they saw a number of flies in the interior of an apartment window. They knocked on the door but no one answered.
Investigators used force to enter the apartment and found Galinski dead. Saunders was found semiconscious.
The Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office has taken Galinski's body and will investigate the cause of death.
Galinski's family resides in New Jersey, and officials have contacted them about her death.
