When a 46-year-old man was told he wasn't allowed into a house to play dominoes, he got a machete and hit a man with it, Tampa police say.
The incident began late Thursday at 3001 W. South Ave. When David Garcia went to the home to play dominoes with a group of friends, 35-year-old Roland Calvo, who lives at the home, told him he wasn't welcome because Garcia had previously threatened Calvo with a machete, police say.
Garcia left but came back with a machete and struck Calvo once in the right side of the head, causing a 2-inch cut, according to a police report. Calvo refused medical treatment.
Officers arrested Garcia this morning. He is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Garcia remains in jail. His bail is set at $7,500.
