Hungry? Head over to IHOP to help your stomach and a good cause.
IHOP is celebrating National Pancake Day by giving away a short stack of buttermilk pancakes. Company officials hope diners taking advantage of the free offer will donate a few dollars toward the Children's Miracle Network.
Since beginning the free pancake tradition in 2006, IHOP has raised more than $3.25 million for the charity. It hopes to raise $1.75 million this year, bringing its total to $5 million in five years.
Children's Miracle Network is a non-profit organization that raises funds for children's hospitals. Each year, the network's hospitals treat 17 million children, including kids with cancer, AIDS, muscular dystrophy, heart disease, and leukemia, according to IHOP's Web site.
The free pancake offer is good until 10 p.m. tonight at participating IHOPs.
