A man driving a sports utility vehicle pulled onto trolley tracks near Channelside Drive Saturday night and collided head-on with a trolley.
No one was injured, but Joshua Pelletier, 35, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive on a designated roadway, the Tampa Police Department said.
Pelletier pulled his 2003 GMC Denali onto the trolley tracks and was heading north. He collided with the southbound trolley near Channelside and Cumberland drives about 9:50 p.m., police said.
Four passengers were aboard the trolley which was able to return to operation shortly after the collision and had minimal damage, police said.
