In videos posted on his Twitter page, professional wrestler and Clearwater resident Hulk Hogan talks about how back pain led him to the emergency room of Morton Plant Hospital.
"I'm in the emergency room," a groggy and half-naked Hogan says in what appears to be a self-shot video posted Monday morning.
"My back went into major spasms from the hip all the way to the middle of the back. It is totally overwhelming. Just not doing too good. ... Hopefully, they will give me something to calm this down. I'll keep you guys posted."
Hogan, no stranger to broadcasting the most minute details of his life, followed up that post with a video on his Twitter page a few hours later. In it, he is still groggy and in a hospital bed, but he has company. He pans over to his girlfriend in the room, wrapped in a blanket.
Hogan, whose grew up in Tampa as Terry Bollea, posted another video this morning in which he talks about having to walk with the aid of a "potty chair" on wheels.
"I am on the edge of bed," Hogan says. "I put arms on that, my butt sticking straight out in the bent-over position. ... There is still a big knot in the left side of my back, like a piece of wood. Hopefully the MRI will find no more skeletal or mechanical damage. I think I just stressed the heck out of it from bending over for so long."
Hogan, who has been a professional wrestler for four decades, currently appears with the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling organization. He has also starred in a reality television show about his family and recently signed to do infomercials for PumMax hand cleaner.
