Allergy sufferers may be getting some relief later this week as a cold front will bring increased rain chances and more seasonable temperatures.
A few isolated showers, associated with a low-pressure system bringing heavy rainfall throughout South Florida, are possible this morning, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Rain chances are 30 percent under mostly cloudy skies and muggy conditions, with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s to low 80s.
The rain will taper off tonight with lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.
The clouds will linger through the week, Spann said, although rain chances will diminish until the weekend, when a cold front from the north will result in a better chance for rain Saturday.
Temperatures will dip into the mid-70s this week and to a more-average 71 on Saturday.
The rain and cooler temperatures will be welcome change for those suffering from seasonal allergies, as the warm winter weather and lack of rain has resulted in a pollen outbreak.
