A 62-year-old Holiday man died Thursday from injuries he received Tuesday when his motorcycle struck a pickup that had turned into his path, troopers said.
Ronald Paul Jaszczak was taken to Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center after the 6:49 p.m. crash at U.S. Alternate 19 and Carillon Street.
Jaszczak was driving west on Alternate U.S. 19 Tuesday on his 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, said Sgt. Steve Gaskins, spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol.
At the same time, Milissa Anne Daughtery, 33, of New Port Richey, was driving south on Carillon Street in a 2004 Nissan Frontier and attempted to make a left turn from the wrong side of the street, Gaskins said.
Daughtery traveled into the path of Jaszczak, who immediately applied his brakes. His motorcycle struck the left front of Daughtery's pickup, sending him over the hood and onto the road, Gaskins said.
